All questions (except III-1) of the ANSI/AISC 360-22, Companion to the AISC Steel Construction Manual, Volume 1: Design Examples, version 16.0, were completed by Opus 4.7 and myself. In the process, we independently expressed the questions (including text interpretations of the figures) in the question.md files, and independently undertook the solutions and expressed those in the solutions.md files. Where Opus' solution was different to that in the Manual, Opus was asked to re-try the problem now that it had seen the correct solution. Therefore all the worked solutions provided here have been verified correct (i.e. verified correct against the Manual). While the AISC Steel Construction Manual, Volume 1: Design Examples are copyrighted, I offer my question and solution md files below under the Creative Commons Attribution-Non Commercial-No Derivative Works (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) licence for all to use freely, and to benchmark other AIs.

Note that AIs need access to the RAG vector database of the AISC 360-22 specification in order to properly ground their calculations, rather than rely on their training data to "remember" the specification equations.
